S.N.A.P. is a valuable resource for residents of Pratt County who might need help getting their dog or cat spayed/neutered. This program was started and is solely ran by generous donations from many of our local community members. We depend on our community to help us keep this program available to those who need it. Spay/Neuter Assistance Program
As of 02/23/2026 this program is again available to residents of Pratt County Only.

SNAP is income based. To qualify for this program you must provide documentation that shows you qualify for the reduced school lunch program or another type of government financial assistance. ( Wic, Medicare, KanCare, Disability)
There is a Co-pay that needs to be paid to PAHS before a voucher will be issued.
Co-pays are CASH or CHECK ONLY.

Dog Spay-$105.00
Dog Neuter-$75.00
Cat Spay-$55.00
Cat Neuter-$45.00

Vouchers can be issued to qualifying Pratt County residents anytime during normal business hours. Don't forget to bring documentation listed above and proof of residency in Pratt Co.-Utility bill, other piece of mail with your name/address or drivers license/I.D. card with address and CASH OR CHECK ONLY for your co-pay. We are unable to take credit/debit card payments for SNAP co-pays.

The veterinary clinic will keep your voucher and return it to PAHS with an invoice. PAHS will apply your co-pay and pay the remaining amount of the invoice. You will not need to make any additional payment to the veterinary clinic.​

SNAP vouchers only cover the cost of spay, neuter and rabies vaccine. The cost of any other product or services will be the sole responsibility of the pet owner.
